Why

Hello everyone, it is Colin again. Sorry I have not blogged in a while, but I have been super busy with all of my performing that I am doing in my opera, "Shoes for The Santo Niño", and also in the  Young Voices of the Santa Fe Opera program. I have also been invited back to sing at Carnegie Hall again this year in late April, early May. While all of this is very exciting, nothing can be more exciting than writing this musical with my friend and colleague Mr. Darryl Bryant. He and I have had another meeting and it was very very productive. We even wrote the first song in the musical: Know Me. I am not going to reveal what we wrote or what the song is about, but I will say that it is a very moving, and powerful song, and I hope you all will enjoy it when you hear it when this musical is performed.

I absolutely love being creative with this project. It is what I am passionate about, and this song is a direct display of my feelings.

This experience, so far, for me, has been absolutely amazing. I love putting my ideas into, not only a format of something that I love about as much as life itself, but something that I am creating. It is not as if I am adapting ideas of others and putting them into a musical. No. These are my ideas coming from my mind, and they are displayed in a form that I love very dearly. I really want to thank Ms Kierst, and all of the members of the selection committee for this program for choosing me, because without you all, I would not be able to write this blog about how much want to thank  you.

That's all for now, but be sure to stay tuned for, perhaps, the title of my next song!!!!!

Bidding you a fond farewell,

Colin Miller
