Hello everyone. Its Colin. Today I will be talking about an interview I had with one of my father's coworkers' about his son who has Autism. His name was Skee. This interview was very moving considering I got hear the entire life story of Skee's son. Even though I have had this with other people with Autism, this interview was special. I learned later in the interview that he is very interested in theatre and has participated in many productions his school. However, the most interesting thing that I learned about Skee's son that will definitely help me with character development is that, because of his very structured schedule, his parents cannot attend his shows that are performed at his school. The reason for this is, since his schedule is so strict and he always sees certain people at certain places, his parents are usually seen at home, and not at school. If he sees his parents at the school, he will be confused and get overwhelmed. That was very sad to me, because my parents always want to support me, and I am sure Skee and his wife wants to support their son, but they cannot because of his condition. But I also learned that he is very skilled acting. This was a great interview and I absolutely loved getting to know Skee's son.
This gave me a lot of information on Autism, and given me a lot of character development info. Even though Autism is hard to understand, this interview and others that I have had, have given me a better understanding, and I hope to further this understanding through my project.
Thats all for now, but be sure to keep following for more exciting developments!
