The Deconstruction Of Fashion Norms

This past September, as couture collections took the catwalk across the globe, I couldn't help but notice the lack of mainstream brands dedicated to creating ethical designs. However, one designer, in particular, Stella McCartney, has been influential in the deconstruction of fashion norms.

Stella has created a company synonymous with sustainability and continues to be an animal and environment activist. She has made waves in the world of eco-fashion and has brought ethicality to conventional couture.

This season, her collection is free-flowing and easy going. Each piece portrays the typical "model off duty" persona with an air of sophistication. Stella debuted a variety of pieces including monochromatic jumpsuits, traditional trapeze dresses with an African twist, and striking ball gowns.
