Globalization

Currently people from all walks of the earth have become closer than ever before. Services and products in the current day are no longer limited to the geographic location at which they were produced or originated. Communication and economic trade is no longer contained, there are no walls and boundaries. Globalization refers to a process, or an evolution of closer economic integration from highly increased trade, immigration, technology, and foreign investment. There is widespread debate on the effects of globalization, these arguments question if globalization is a positive or negative thing for humanity. Many highly valid arguments lie on both sides. Globalization serves great purpose to many, for example In the last thirty four years over six hundred million people have risen from the deep depths of poverty due to it. Globalization is great when it provides cost effective goods, information sharing, a higher quality of life, and cheapens and meanwhile betters the state of many people and businesses. Sadly meanwhile in other parts of the globe these changes can drive the price of labor down so low that people cannot survive on the abysmal amount of income which they receive . This oftentimes empowers dictators and authoritarian governments to treat these slave citizens even more poorly.  Globalization also brings great harm to the environment and  if the whole world and millions of people are greatly harmed because of it  we cannot say that the positive effects outweighed the negative.
